The release date to multi-talented entertainer Ku Hye-sun’s second feature film has been set.
Seoul-based distribution firm Joy N Contents Group announced Wednesday that Ku’s second full-length film “The Peach Tree” will begin its local premiere on October 31.
Starring actors Cho Seung-woo and Ryu Deok-hwan, “The Peach Tree” tells the story of Siamese twins [portrayed by Cho and Ryu] that fall in love with one woman [played by actress Nam Sang-mi].
“The Peach Tree” was first screened this summer at the 2012 Jecheon International Music and Film Festival, where she was invited as a director, between August 9 and 15.
Ku made her debut as a director with her first short film “The Madonna” in 2009 and helmed “Magic”(2010), “You”(2010) and another short film, “Fragments of Sweet Memories” (2012).
In the meantime, the actress-director opened a private ten-day exhibition in Seoul on September 18 to help support children with leukemia by donating all profits from the event.
